Dr. Mark Sardo, DDS
Dr. Mark Sardo has proudly served the Golden Isles as an orthodontist for the past 40 years. Originally from Yonkers, New York, Dr. Sardo has called the Golden Isles home for more than three decades and is deeply rooted in the community he is proud to serve.
Dr. Sardo earned his undergraduate degree from Fordham University before attending the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery, where he continued his education in orthodontics. He also proudly served in the United States Army as an orthodontist, an experience that shaped his commitment to excellence, service, and patient care.
Throughout his career, Dr. Sardo has had the privilege of creating beautiful smiles and building lasting relationships with generations of families. His dedication to orthodontics, combined with his genuine care for his patients, has made him a trusted member of the Golden Isles community for four decades.
Outside of the office, Dr. Sardo enjoys spending time with his wife, Cindy, their two children, and their three dogs. He especially treasures time with his two grandchildren, Caroline and Walker. When he’s not with family, you can often find him reading, boating, fishing, scuba diving, photographing the world around him, or tending to his beloved fish tank.
After 40 years in practice, Dr. Sardo continues to enjoy what he considers one of the greatest rewards of orthodontics: being part of the lives of the families and generations he serves.
Matthew Sardo, DMD
Dr. Matthew Sardo is proud to carry on the legacy of Sardo Orthodontics, a second-generation, family-owned practice that has been creating beautiful smiles in the Golden Isles for more than 40 years. Born and raised in the community he now serves, Dr. Sardo is honored to continue the tradition of exceptional orthodontic care established by his father, treating generations of local families with the same commitment to excellence and personalized care.
Dr. Sardo earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in 2014 before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia in 2019. He completed his specialty training in orthodontics at the Georgia School of Orthodontics in Atlanta, graduating in 2022.
As a hometown orthodontist, Dr. Sardo combines advanced clinical training with a genuine passion for serving the community that has always been home. He believes orthodontic care should be personal, welcoming, and centered around building relationships with patients and their families. He is proud to help carry the Sardo Orthodontics name into its second generation while continuing the tradition of caring for families throughout the Golden Isles.
Dr. Sardo lives in the Golden Isles with his wife, Callie, their son, Walker, and their two dogs, Mela and Mae. When he isn’t in the office, he loves spending time with his family and enjoying just about anything that gets him on the water. An avid fisherman and boater, he also enjoys scuba diving and exploring the coast. During the winter months, he trades the Georgia coast for the mountains, where he enjoys skiing.
For Dr. Sardo, coming home to practice orthodontics in the community where he was born and raised is especially meaningful. He looks forward to continuing the family tradition and caring for the next generation of Golden Isles families for many years to come.
